Der Titel Plant me a garden versteht sich als Metapher, er bezieht sich auf eine konkrete Werkreihe, die sich aus verschiedenen Perspektiven mit der Natur und Ihren Bezugsfeldern auseinandersetzt. Typisch für meine Arbeitsweise sind Werkreihen, die sich mit konkreten Themen auseinandersetzen.
Für die Ausstellung „Plant me a garden“ sind zahlreiche Zeichnungen, Malereien,
Collagen, Tapeten, ein Teppich und Künstler*innenbücher entstanden. In meinen Werken setzte ich mich in den letzten Jahren mit den Naturwissenschaften und im Besonderen mit der Pflanzenwelt
auseinander. Hierbei erforsche ich die Wirkungsweisen sowie den architektonischem Aufbau von Pflanzen und gehe den Wundern der Botanik nach. Die Blumensprache als Mittel der nonverbalen
Kommunikation als Ausgang meiner Bildcollagen zu nehmen ist unter anderem auch als Verweis auf den Düsseldorfer Künstler Joseph Beuys, der im letzten Jahr 100 Jahre alt geworden wäre zu sehen,
ihm werden gerade zahlreiche Ausstellungen gewidmet. „Lasst Blumen sprechen“, hat er einst formuliert.
Meine jüngste, abstrahierte, großformatige Malerei-Serie mit dem Titel der Serie „Plant me a garden“ hat sich aus einem großformatigen
Tapetenmusterbuch entwickelt, dies ist in der Ausstellung zu sehen. Ein typisches Element meines Schaffensprozesses ist das Verwenden von Referenzen und Zitaten, von Künstler*innen
und Wissenschaftler*innen und Autor*innen, welche sich besonders in meinen Künstler*innenbüchern wiederfindet. Aus den Künstler*innenbüchern entstehen auch
Rauminstallationen.
Nach meiner Vorlage wurde gerade in Nepal ein erster Teppich zu der Serie "Plant me a garden" handgeknüpft, er wird nun erstmalig in der Galerie
Clara Maria Sels öffentlich präsentiert.

The title Plant me a garden is meant as a metaphor, it refers to a concrete series of works that deal with nature and your reference fields from different perspectives. Typical for my way of working are series of works that deal with concrete themes.
For the exhibition "Plant me a garden" numerous drawings, paintings, collages, wallpapers, a carpet and artist*s books were created. In my works I have dealt in recent years with the natural sciences and in particular with the plant world. Here I explore the modes of action as well as the architectural structure of plants and pursue the wonders of botany. The language of flowers as a means of non-verbal communication as the starting point of my image collages to take is also to be seen as a reference to the Düsseldorf artist Joseph Beuys, who would have been 100 years old last year, to him are just numerous exhibitions dedicated. "Let flowers speak," he once formulated.
My most recent, abstracted, large-format painting series with the title of the series "Plant me a garden" has developed from a large-format wallpaper pattern book, this can be seen in the exhibition. A typical element of my creative process is the use of references and quotations, from artists and scientists and authors, which can be found especially in my artist books. From the artists' books I also create spatial installations.
According to my pattern, a first carpet for the series "Plant me a garden" was just hand-knotted in Nepal, it will now be presented publicly for the first time in the gallery Clara Maria Sels.
